The Michigan Hospital Medicine Safety Consortium leads statewide collaboration to improve antimicrobial use and sepsis care for hospitalized adult medical patients across Michigan. Through strategic statewide partnerships with hospitals and healthcare organizations throughout the state, we advance evidence-based research, implement quality improvements, and share critical findings with the Michigan medical community.

Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA)
The Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) is the statewide leader representing all community hospitals in Michigan. Established in 1919, the MHA represents the interests of its member hospitals and health systems in both the legislative and regulatory arenas on key issues and supports their efforts to provide quality, cost-effective and accessible care.
Michigan Chapter of SHM
The Michigan Chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine is a place for Michigan Chapter members to learn about local chapter activities and events and to discuss issues of interest to chapter members that are currently impacting hospital medicine and healthcare as a whole. HMS partners with the MI-SHM to promote our quality improvement initiatives.
SCCM Michigan Chapter
The SCCM Michigan Chapter is a multi-professional organization composed of critical care practitioners, whose purpose is to foster collaboration among caregivers at a state level for the enhancement of patient care. Members of the chapter include physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals.
The Michigan Chapter’s mission is to provide its’ members with educational and research opportunities, professional resources, and a chance for networking with other critical care professionals to improve the quality of critical care. HMS partners with the MI-SCCM to promote our quality improvement initiatives.
Michigan Infectious Diseases Society
The Michigan Infectious Diseases Society is committed to improving the care of patients with infectious diseases by fostering preventive practices and researching epidemiological patterns of infectious diseases. The society continuously strives to advance the professional education of its members, trainees, and other healthcare professionals. They are dedicated to promoting clinical and scientific research and to providing the best possible care for infectious disease patients.
