Dr. Hallie Prescott Highlights New and Revised Surviving Sepsis Campaign Recommendations at 2026 Critical Care Congress

HMS Sepsis Physician Leader Dr. Hallie Prescott presented the latest updates to the Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC) Guidelines during the session “What’s New and Different in the Surviving Sepsis Campaign 2026” at the 2026 Critical Care Congress in Chicago.

The presentation focused on new and revised SSC recommendations, the methodology and evidence base behind the guideline updates, and critical gaps in current sepsis research, with particular attention to global applicability. The updated guidelines and executive summary are now live and available through Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Prescott’s presentation underscored the ongoing evolution of sepsis care and the importance of translating updated evidence into practice across diverse clinical settings.
