Committees

HMS Committees

The structure of HMS includes three active committees.

  • Business meetings and signing of legal agreements.
    Data/ Design/ Publications

    This committee meets to discuss methodological issues, data collection strategies and problems, programming issues, and approaches to analyzing and disseminating the experience of the consortium.

    ICU Steering Committee

    This committee meets to help drive improvement efforts in intensive care units across Michigan.

  • Business people raise hands in vote during executive board meeting in office. Decision-making process in progress. Group participates in voting event. Modern workplace setting with laptops on table.
    Executive Committee

    This committee is charged with discussing implementation strategies, operational issues, and the future course of the consortium’s QI activities.

VTE Bleeding Review Committee (Retired)

This committee was charged with reviewing bleeding events, refining the list of contraindications to pharmacologic prophylaxis based on available evidence, and incorporating bleeding risk into the overall strategy of assessing VTE risk.
