Pat Posa is the Project Lead for Sepsis Site Visits, Quality Improvement Lead for the HMS Sepsis Initiative, and a Clinical Leader of the HMS Critical Care Initiative. Most recently, she was the Quality and Patient Safety Program Manager for the Adult Hospitals at Michigan Medicine. Previously, she was a Quality Excellence Leader for St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Southeastern Michigan, leading initiatives to reduce hospital-acquired conditions, improve patient outcomes for critically ill patients, and reduce readmission’s. Pat was faculty on the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) ICU Liberation Collaborative. She has been a member of and co-chair of SCCM’s ICU liberation committee and is now on the Centers of Excellence ICU Liberation Task Force. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University and her Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. She is interested in sepsis and critical care and serves on the Sepsis Alliance Board of Directors.
